Template Options
Input will depend on the template selected but generally
will be a series of input fields that provide variable content. These are some of the options
Required Fields
Each field is either required or optional. Optional fields
are shown by the word (optional) appearing after the field.
You cannot process the document until each required field
has had a value added. If you click on the Next button without completing a
dialog box appears, explaining your error, which may change depending on the
field. The solution will then select the required field.

Filling in Field Options
This is general advice on how to complete each document,
please read this carefully, as it will save a lot of time and frustration:
- The templates allow you
to build tailored documents, some are simple, and some are more
complicated.
- If you have not used the
system before, please try something simple ? like a business card or a
poster, before attempting the more complex multiple page documents like
brochures.
- It is a good idea to keep
a copy of the document content in a word document. This means you can
repeat the order by simply copying and pasting and this allows you to
spell and grammar check the document.
- You can preview a
document as many times as you like until you are happy.
- You are only charged for
documents that you add to the Shopping Cart and then process. So you can
test as many designs as you like.
- Make sure you carefully
preview each document, the technology tries to ensure that your documents
will always be correct, but some combinations of text, fonts and paragraph
returns might overrun the printable area, it’s your responsibility to
check this.
- Nearly all documents will
use Branding information from your user and office profile. Please make
sure these are correct before ordering. You will be able to see this
information in the preview and edit by clicking on My Account.
- When pasting text in from
the clipboard, be careful to make sure you do not run over the character
count and lose the end of your text.
Text Field
A text box will accept text WITHOUT any returns.
A text box will accept as many characters as defined by the
Maximum Characters, there is a counter showing the remaining number of
characters as you type.
It is a good idea to write your text in a word processor
like Word and then paste it into the filed. This way you can keep a record of
the text and spell/grammar check it.
Be careful when pasting text in, make sure you do not run
over the character count and lose the end of your text.

Image Field
An image selector allows you to do one of three actions:
Select an image from the drop down list. Once selected you
will be shown a thumbnail of the image.
Click on Image Library to show a pop up window with a
categorised list of images. Click on a category and the images will be listed.
Then click on "Select" to add the option back into the Image
Selector.
Upload
your own image by clicking on:
Upload a new image.
Image Formats
All images uploaded onto the site must be JPEGs with the
file extension of JPG. These will maintain good quality but keep the file size
down for quick uploads.
Any image's file size is controlled by two elements, dots
per inch (DPI) and size. It is important that you ensure that your images are:
- 200 DPI
- RGB colour
- 150mm x 100mm (or a ration of 6:4)
- JPG format
- File Size of Less than 500KB
Most drawing tools will allow you to set these values.
Ensure the JPG Standard format is selected, do not select JPG 2000 or advanced
compression options.
Who Can See Which Images
All images are not shown to all users. Each image that is
uploaded from this tool is associated with you and only you can see them. If
you want to let other users see the image then you must upload the image from
My Account. If you are an Administrator, you set an image to allow everyone to
see it, if you are a Super User you can set the image to allow all users in
your office to see.
Style Picker
The Style Picker allows you to select different styles for
the document, though there may only be one style offered.
When the style is selected a thumbnail of the style appears.
This is only a representation of the style, so details such as colour, fonts
and images will change. The thumbnail may also not show all that pages of the
final document.
Radio Button
The radio button allows you to select one option from the
list.
Font Size Picker
Each Font Size Picker will be called Font Size Picker, have
a required icon and an help icon.
The Font Size Picker allows you select a specific font size
for text. Please ensure that when you preview the document that your text fits
the space appropriately.
